Plastic People Make It Possible

I'm way too tired to be blogging, but here I am, doing it anyway.

We've got a house showing tomorrow, and I've spent the better part of the day wrenching those dastardly Dust Bunnies from their homes, and making OUR home look all sparkly and pleasant.

You know, all that wonderful fakery that comes with selling.

I suppose the most interesting part of my evening (very, very sadly) was when my cat became convinced that one of the pig figurines in my room was real, and thus, hissed with the ferocity of the grandest of lions.

And yes, I have a thing for pigs.

....Pigs that burn.

Hheheh.

That said, this happened:

That's all.

Why So Serious?

Tuesday, November 11, 2008
Hi blogosphere.

So, there's been a bit of a national controversy over a certain Californian proposition that has inspired me to make my second politically oriented post in recent history. I'm neither gay, nor am I Californian, but I think we should all take notice when a person's right is at stake.

Prop 8, people.

I think that many of those "proud Americans" that pushed to get this legislation passed need to take a good hard look in the mirror. Sanctity of marriage? How many of you have been divorced? Is it "marriage" you're fighting for, or the exclusion of a group that you just don't like? What the hell are we fighting for in the middle east if this kind of hypocritical nonsense is allowed to continue, here in our own country?

This video explains it all really well, though I'll grant he has a much sappier take on things than I do.

I got this from http://www.kevinpereira.com/ , where he says, "It's okay to be straight, and against hate."

Damn right.

Bastardly Blogger

Dear Blogger:

Please, tell me, why do you hate me so?

Is it so hard to provide me with an easy method to export my posts? I mean, really, we've been together for years now, and I've entrusted you with many of the deepest details of my life. Would it really be so hard to trust that I just want to keep my posts safe while I reformat my template, and not to run elsewhere to make another blog?

I mean, I chose you over Myspace.

I snubbed Wordpress, and I politely told LiveJournal that I was already taken.

We've made it this far together, you and I.

Work with me here. Please?

A post of mine from elsewhere, because it's just worthy to be blogged about:

Any RPG fans out there picked up Fable II yet?

Awesome game, to say the least. I didn't much care for the first one (was a little too late on getting to it, and it seemed a bit dull and dated when I finally did), but the sequel has kept the great tone, and added a ton of depth. It's not quite as endlessly expansive as Oblivion, say, but the world is much more varied, and.....wow, it has more than three voice actors. *smirk*

The updates to the "Expression" system were certainly needed, and turned it from a feature that I hated in the original, so something that's actually manageable and relatively entertaining here. That, and the way they use experience and the like, yeah.

Just buy the game. B-)

Political Apathy= Fail

Tuesday, November 04, 2008
Just got back from voting. Who got the ol' line across the paper on my ballot doesn't really matter, but rather that I at least hauled my sorry carcass out of the house and participated in one of the most important days on the American calender

Apathy is fine, but it should never extend to government.

That said, I hope the few who might read this count themselves amongst the Cool People Who Voted, because if you didn't, then don't bother bitching when Uncle Sam gives you the shaft.

Because you never cared in the first place, right?
